Newest Content is Helping TryMunity With Every Tree Purchased

Christmas is a favorite time of year for our family!  We love the decorations, the food and the family.  We love getting together and just enjoying everyone's company.  We've started a tradition in our family since I started cooking the meal, that all the kids help cook and bake in the kitchen every year.  I love it!  They love it too...getting to get their hands messy and making something that they can enjoy and share with the rest of the family.  We love to help other families when we can too.  The kids have done this their entire life and can't wait til we do the next burst of helping.

Each year, we go through everything we own and find anything we don't use anymore and haven't used.  We put all those things in boxes and I post it on FreeCycle.  Once we get a response from someone who could use it, we just put it on the porch and they pick it up at a date and time that they specified.  We love helping other families by passing on our still loved furniture, toys and clothes.  We just know that other families need those things and will love them like we did.

We also go through the pantry several times a year and donate any food or kitchen items, along with toiletries and laundry products, to the local women's shelter.  They love getting these items, because they go through these things quickly and they just don't get enough funding to do it all on their own.

Well, this year, we have another way we can buying a christmas tree! is donating $1 for every purchase from their website to TryMunity! has some beautiful trees and really great deals.I've looked through the entire site and have bookmarked it, because I am having such a hard time deciding.  I'm even thinking of buying a second one to donate to the local women's shelter.

As stated on their site:

TryMunity is a non-profit organization increasing awareness and providing support to individuals and families suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) through an online social community for survivors and supporters of shared stories, ideas, suggestions, and words of encouragement.

What a great cause, right?!  TBI is such a tough thing to have happen.  This non-profit can really go a long way in helping families deal with it better.  I know that, support from others that are going through the same thing...or even just knowing you're not alone, can mean the world to someone going through something horrific and traumatizing.

I can't wait to order my christmas tree from them, and hopefully you will too.
