If you are anything like me, you buy a LOT of liquid creamers. Well, now you can register your UPC Codes to help buy coats for kids that need them! All you do is go here and enter your UPC Code.
Now through January 15th, 2013, whenever you purchase a specially marked bottle of International Delight®, Silk®, Horizon®, or LAND O LAKES® and register your purchase at www.ShareYourDelight.com, 50¢ will be donated to Coats for Kids Foundation. Together, these brands have committed a minimum donation of $25,000, and if enough people register their purchase, the donation could increase to as much as $100,000!
Together we can help keep tons of kids warm this winter!...Especially with the help of these wonderful companies! Most of us buy products from at least one of the brands regularly anyway...why not just take a minute to enter the UPC code to help out another person...a child.
And...after you enter a UPC...or two...or five, you will be offered a coupon for 55 cents off your next bottle of creamer! (You will need to print it out)...if you can't print it, you can click on the little blue "Help" link at the bottom right. That will bring up a form you can fill out with your mailing address and they will mail your coupon to you instead!
You can also go here to donate cash if you'd rather do that. It looks like donation amounts start at just $10, but there is an "other" box where you fill in an amount. I'm pretty sure they would appreciate anything you can give...the site says that every $20 is another coat for the kids.
I don't usually post things where I imply that you should give money to anyone, (although I do think we all should feel some sort of urge to help our fellow man), but I just can't bear the thought of a child being cold in the winter...all because they can't afford a coat. Plus, I throw these bottles of creamer away all the time...we go through like one a day or so. How hard is it to put in the UPC code in the little box on the site? Not hard...not hard at all.
I'm doing my part...I can't afford to donate cash, but I can sure register a bunch of UPC's.
Go here if you have UPC's to register.
Go here if you want to donate some cash.
Also, Operation Warm is a registered 501(c)(3) charity, so your gift is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
